Larry Cole has been in the Real Estate Development business for over twenty-five years primarily in Northeast Tarrant County. He developed Tara Plantation, the first Planned Unit Development (PUD) in Colleyville, in the late 70’s and early 80’s This development has 200 homes with walking paths, a thematic bridge and an adjacent neighborhood park His next development was the Village of Woodland Hills also in Colleyville developed in the mid to late 80’s. This community has 456 homeowners, numerous walking and jogging paths, two ponds and over 50 acres of private open space.

Mr. Cole personally supervises all aspects of design, construction and sales for each of his developments. He believes in a "hands on" approach to all issues that affect each of the communities. All Builders and their house plans are screened by the Architectural Control Committee to make sure they meet Mr. Cole’s standards for quality design and construction. Mr. Cole forms a new homeowners association for each neighborhood, which begins operating prior to the completion of all the houses. He serves as President the first year. In addition to maintaining the common areas, the association oversees architectural control, provides a community newsletter, keeps the neighborhood informed of city activities affecting the neighborhood and provides social activities for the homeowners for the children and adults. He is very proud of each association as they develop their own unique personality with a problem solving attitude and a positive community spirit.

Mr. Cole has served as President of the Fort Worth & Tarrant County Builders Association. He has been a Director of a local bank and has served as a Trustee for the Harris HEB Hospital. Over the years he has been very active in community affairs.

Prior to his career in the Real Estate Industry, he was a professional football player for the Dallas Cowboys during the Championship years in the 70’s. He played in five Super Bowls and at the time of his retirement in 1980 he had played in 26 playoff games, an NFL record at that time. He played thirteen years under the coaching of the legendary Tom Landry where he learned the structure and discipline of putting together a first class team of results oriented people.
